How can I Review a Speaker or Entertainer?
For our client's convenience, many speakers and entertainers have their information available for review on Spotlight's web site, some with video clips.  Additional choices are being added weekly.

Spotlight also maintains preview media (CDs, DVDs, or VHS tapes) that can be shipped to you upon request for most speakers and entertainers.

What Costs Can I Expect When I Book a Speaker or Entertainer?

The costs vary, but typical expenses are the speaking, appearance or performance fee, audio visual expenses, travel expenses, accommodations, meals, ground transportation etc.  Spotlight can provide you with specific costs for your selections.

Will the Speaker or Entertainer sign autographs, attend a reception, etc?

This is different for each individual.  Be sure to make ALL your requests known in advance since there may be additional fees for additional appearances, press conferences, photo sessions, receptions, autograph sessions, or book signings.

What if a Speaker, Celebrity, or Act is exclusive?

If they are exclusive they have an exclusive representation agreement with an agent.  Spotlight Speakers & Entertainment can still book these individuals or acts for you.

What Determines a Speaking or Appearance Fee?

Fees are determined by the fame, expertise, amount of travel, length of program, etc.

For Speakers, a keynote is usually less than a half-day or full day session. Speakers will often reduce their fee if the venue is local and no travel is involved.

What is the Fee for Using the Services of Spotlight Speakers & Entertainment?

Spotlight's fees are paid by the Speakers and Entertainers.  There is no additional expense to you for our expertise and experience in consulting about your specific event, recommending a selection of choices specifically for your audience, providing you with biographies, demo DVD's, photographs, recommendation letters,and all other services including contracts and A/V requirements.

Can a Presentation be Taped?

Some individuals will agree, some will not allow taping, and some will agree for an additional fee.  Written permission is always required for any audio or video taping.   Spotlight can advise you on specific selections.  Be sure to make this request known in advance so it may be included in the contract.

Will We Have Any Contact with the Speaker Prior to Our Event?

In most instances, yes.  Speakers are happy to talk with you in advance as their schedules allow.  Ask Spotlight about arranging this contact.  This will allow you the opportunity to review your requirements for your event and know the Speaker on a more personal level prior to meeting in person.  In any event, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to assist the Speaker in knowing a little about your organization.
